Ingredients
Instructions
-
For the Pressure Cooker
-
This is how you get ’er done in less than five minutes! Cut the squash in half crosswise, pierce the shell in several places, and scoop out the seeds. Lay one half face down and put the other on top, face up. Add the water.
-
Set the timer for 4 to 5 minutes. (Some older spaghetti squash can be tough to cut in half. You could also place the whole pierced squash in the cooker and cook for 10 minutes still a pretty quick option.) Scrape out the spaghetti from each half into a bowl using a fork to “rake it.”
-
For the Crockpot
-
Put the water in the bottom of the crockpot. Pierce the squash in several places, then place in the crockpot and cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours.
-
Cut the cooked squash in half crosswise and remove the seeds. Scrape out the spaghetti into a bowl, using a fork.
-
For the Oven
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cut the squash in half crosswise. Scoop out the seeds and pierce the shell in several places.
-
Place the halves face down in a baking pan that has been lightly coated with coconut oil spray. Bake for 45 minutes or until you can easily pierce the shell with a fork.
-
(Alternatively, you can bake the squash pierced but left whole for 1 & 1/4 to 1 & 1/2 hours.) Scrape out the spaghetti into a bowl, using a fork.
Note
Deep S Option: Add butter to your cooked spaghetti squash before serving.
If cooking the squash whole, be careful when cutting it in half after cooking; let cool slightly so that you don’t burn yourself.
