SERENE CHATS: Crunchy, energy promoting, gluten free crackers! Instead of wheat these are made with ch… ch… ch… chia. It really feels like you are cheating and having naughty crackers but these little guys won’t spike your blood sugar or puff up your fat cells. My girls and I enjoyed these with an avocado based dip today for lunch – wow, you gotta try. I adapted this cracker recipe from our “Just Like Wheat Thins” crackers from page 396 of the original Trim Healthy Mama. Instead of using flax meal and almond flour, these feature ground chia with some coconut flour.

Intro Continued.....The tiny chia seed is a nutritional powerhouse. It was used by the Ancient Aztecs during their conquests and was also known as the “Indian Running Food.” since it has the ability to enhance endurance and stamina. The nutrients inside chia travel to your cells very quickly and help keep them energized and hydrated all day.
Serving Suggestions from Serene:
The dip was so divine and was a way of enjoying protein jolted guacamole that was also a little lighter in calories because of the extra celery and yogurt volumizing it up. It also made my avocado go further.
