Introducing "Heroic Coffee". From the ashes of "at-home-ed-ness" a new coffee has arisen. (Cue the dramatic music). While much of the world is sheltering at home (& thus missing out on coffee house, sweet foamy drinks) this caped crusading, pleasure in a cup is swooping in to help us get through long days within walls & without Mexican restaurants. It is called many names, some call it Dalgona, some just call it whipped but whatever it's called it is known by the heart & taste buds as comfort & sanity. You'd never guess this valiant drink is a super low calorie & ultra low carb Fuel Pull, it's so creamy & indulgent!

Instructions

  1. Using a hand mixer, whip the instant coffee powder, sweetener and water for 2-5 minutes until mixture is thick with stiff peaks.
  2. Stir the milk, water and ice cubes together in a large glass or mason jar and top with the whipped coffee. Gently fold the coffee and milk together.
  3. If you prefer a less strong coffee, divide the whipped topping between two glasses of milk and it is like you are sharing a coffee milkshake with a bestie!

Intro Continued...Perhaps you’ve seen pictures of this friendly neighborhood super hero in your newsfeed. Our heroic version is super simple to make. There is however one dastardly problem with our super hero… it has a flaw… a very villainous sort of secret that is kryptonite to your body. What is this nuisiancy nemesis you ask.. this finagling foe? Sugar!

Just at the very time when we need to boost our immune systems rather than harm them… sugar, in the disguise of comfort is hatching some nasty deeds to terrorize the brave citizens of social distancing world. Yet, sugar is the last thing that should be sipped down our throats right now! Sugar inhibits white blood cell function thereby negatively affecting our immune system for a full 5 hours after it is consumed! It also fattens up our waistlines… must we come through quarantine a whole pant size… (or dare we say 2 pant sizes) larger? Nay… we say… Nay indeed!

But have no fear… ungroomed citizens of the world…. we’ve unsugarized this super hero of drinks. Now it can comfort and bless as it was first intended but with no sugar rise, no immune depletion and no extra pounds on the scale.

Our heroic version is super simple to make. You'd never guess this valiant drink is a super low calorie and ultra low carb Fuel Pull - it's so creamy and indulgent! Now this super hero of a coffee drink is even better… even kinder… even more worthy to wear a whipped cape!

So, whip er up... take your pictures for bragging rights then gently fold the foamy topping into the milk as you sit back and sip this pure guilt-free, heroic indulgence in your much smaller world.

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or for a super indulgent S version use 6 ounces almond milk and 2-3 Tbsp of heavy cream)
