Ingredients
Instructions
-
Put 2 cups cooked chana dahl in food processor (make sure it has cooled since cooking).
-
Add ½ cup tahini (sesame seed paste).
-
Add 1 tsp. sea salt, garlic powder to taste, lemon juice to taste (approximately 2 lemon’s worth or similar amount of concentrate), and an optional 1 tsp. each of cumin and coriander powder.
-
Process well. A little water may be added to arrive at desired consistency. The dip can stay very thick, but is also fine to be thinner with added water.
-
Taste and re-season if needed by adding more salt, garlic powder, or lemon juice to satisfaction.
-
Transfer to plastic tub with lid. Before covering, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle with paprika powder, and add a sprig of parsley for garnish (if desired). Place lid on and refrigerate
