Dreamy Chicken Lazone
Description
This sauce is the stuff dreams are made of . . . so flavorful! How can you eat this and lose weight you wonder as you take your first bite? Just trust us and enjoy. This is one of those quick and easy satisfying meals that you can serve up to family or even expected (or unexpected) company. The creamed-up flavors will make them think that you spent hours in the kitchen rather than minutes. This recipe is found on page 50 of the Trim Healthy Table Cookbook.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Mix the salt, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne (if using) in a small bowl. Sprinkle half the seasoning over tops of the chicken then turn the tenderloins over and coat the other side.
-
Melt half of the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add all the chicken and cook for 6 minutes, turning once.
-
Reduce the heat to medium, add the chicken broth, cream, and the remaining butter. Once the butter has melted, move the chicken to one side of the pan, sprinkle in the Gluccie a little at a time, and whisk it well into the sauce. Toss the sauce around the skillet and cook for 8 more minutes.
-
Remove the pan from the heat. The sauce will thicken a little more as it cools but it is not supposed to be a thick sauce. Serve the chicken, then spoon more sauce on top.
Note
From Trim Healthy Table ~ MAKE A FAMILY MEAL:
- For the weight-loss plan, this is fabulous over sautéed shredded cabbage (cut into noodles as thin as angel hair pasta), spaghetti squash, or Troodles (page 264). Or have it with any non-starchy veggie you desire! Add a side salad, and you’re set.
- Be sure to add a healthy carb for growing children or others at Crossover stage, such as steamed potatoes with butter, brown rice, or even buttered sprouted-grain bread.
