Instructions

  1. Brown the meat in a skillet over medium-high heat. Transfer the meat to a colander and rinse well under very hot water until all the fat is released. Set the meat aside on a plate.
  2. Put the broth and okra in a blender and blend on high until completely smooth . . . blend the heck out of it until no pieces of okra are visible.
  3. Add the coconut oil to the skillet and sauté the onion and garlic for a couple minutes over medium-high heat. Add the cabbage and toss with the onion and garlic. Cover, reduce the heat to medium, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, until slightly wilted. Uncover, add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, blended okra, pepper, salt, onion powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne (if using), and liquid aminos (if using). Return the meat to the skillet, increase the heat to medium-high, and allow the dish to bubble and simmer for another 8 to 12 minutes.
