This is a family-size recipe that will serve 6 to 8 people.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet until browned, then drain off excess fat. Add salt, pepper, and the onion, and cook for a few more minutes, stirring it into the meat.
  3. Place the cream, cream cheese, butter, broth, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, whisking occasionally, then turn down the heat and let simmer while you stir in the mushrooms.
  4. Slowly add the Gluccie to the sauce and whisk well to avoid lumps. Simmer the sauce for 3 to 5 minutes more, stirring, then remove from heat.
  5. Layer the cauliflower in a 9 × 13-inch baking dish. Spread the meat mixture on top, then pour the sauce over the entire dish. Top with the shredded cheese. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for another 10 minutes to brown the top.
