Instructions

  1. Spoon the skyr or yogurt into a bowl and add the desired amount of chocolate protein powder and cold brew coffee concentrate.
  2. Stir until smoothly blended.

Note

Suggestions from the Video:

  • Skyr is a cultured dairy product, like a really good Greek yogurt that is high in protein, remains thick while blending and has different bacteria than Greek yogurt that is excellent for your "gut health".
  • Skyr is technically classified as cheese, although widely regarded as yogurt. It has been a part of Icelandic cuisine for centuries. Skyr has a slightly sour dairy flavor, with a hint of residual sweetness.
  • Skyr can be found at most Whole Foods or Sprouts grocery stores. You would want to use the "Plain" Skyr, unsweetened.  Look for the brand  Icelandic Traditions. You can also use the Siggi's brand that is found at almost all grocery stores.
  • If using 0% Greek yogurt, do not over stir as the yogurt will become thin.
  • The protein, cold brew coffee concentrate and the chocolate in the whey protein will perk you up!
  • This recipe makes a great breakfast or snack.
