Pour the hot water into a blender. Add all the remaining ingredients and blend well until smooth.

Transfer the puree to a small saucepan.

Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, then taste and adjust the seasonings to "own it".

"A wonderful tomato soup for our dairy free peeps. But it’s a nice change up to “Just Like Campbell’s Soup”, even if you don’t have to be dairy free. One cannot get enough tomato soup in one’s life, can one?
SERVING IDEA: Garnish with 1 tablespoon grated pecorino romano cheese to stay in FP mode or go heavier with other cheese of your choice to head into S mode.
