Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large skillet, saute the celery, carrot, onion and garlic in the butter over medium-high heat until the vegetables are starting to wilt and soften, about 3 minutes. Add the ground meat and brown it, stirring it into the veggies until cooked through. (If the meat isn't all that lean, cook it first , drain off the fat, then add vegetables.)

Add the broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Stir well, then remove the skillet from the heat and add the peas or green beans.

Pour the meat and veggie mix into a 9 x13-inch baking dish. Spread the mashed cauliflower on top of the meat and spread out to cover well. Use your fork to trace long, vertical lines over the tops. Bake for 30 minutes, then broil for a few minutes, until the top is golden brown (watch that it doesn't burn).

If certain members of your family are not too keen on Mashed Fotatoes, make up just half the batch of Mashed Fotatoes and split the filling into two smaller baking dishes. Top one with Mashed Fotatoes and one with regular mashed potatoes. That’s an extra step that we don’t do, but it may keep the peace in some homes and peace is a wonderful thing!
