Trim Healthy Mama and the crockpot work wonderfully together. It is unusual to find recipes for bone in meat for the crockpot unless there is a meat browning process first. Instructions

  1. Put the thawed, drained drumsticks in the crock pot.
  2. Blend the broth with the lemon juice and add to the chicken. Add the coconut oil, Seasoning Blend, and seasonings. Add the Not Naughty Rice (if using) last.
  3. Cook on high heat for 6 to 8 hours.

Note

NOTES: Bones take up quite a bit of weight, so to feed 6-8 hungry people you’ll need 1 1/2 - 2 bags of chicken drums or thighs, most bags are 4 pounds each. Thankfully these bone-in meat pieces are the least expensive parts of chicken.
