Basic Whey Smoothie

Description

This smoothie is a basic recipe that makes a manageable, large cup amount that won't make you "too full" like perhaps the Big Boy Smoothie might do. This recipe includes coconut oil to help you with energy levels. It's a great post workout protein replenisher.

1 Single Serve

Ingredients

Cooking Mode Disabled

Instructions

  1. Put 1 scoop TH Pristine Protein Powder in blender.

  2. Add 3/4 cup water.
  3. Add I Tbs. extra virgin coconut oil for quick energy burst.
  4. Add TH Super Sweet blend or TH Pure Stevia Extract Powder to taste

  5. Turn on blender and while running add ¼ cup boiling (or very hot) water. This emulsifies the coconut oil beautifully into the rest of the liquid without allowing coconut oil globules to separate and rise to the top. That’s annoying.
  6. Add generous ice or coconut milk ice cubes and blend more.

Note

If your whey protein smoothie is accompanying another food that contains a good amount of protein, you do not need to use a full scoop of whey. If you desire an E or FP breakfast of scrambled egg whites, and want a smoothie on the side, use only half a scoop of whey. The smoothie will still be thick and delicious, your whey protein will last longer, and you won't overdue a macronutrient. Remember that suggestion for snacks also.
