Homemade Ezekiel Crackers/Chips

Servings: 2

Description

These work great with E Mexican meals or "The Lighter Side of Chili". They are also great with light packed tuna and cottage cheese. This recipe is found on Page 395 of the Original Trim Healthy Mama Book!

Instructions

  1. Take the sprouted store-bought Ezekiel 4:9 tortillas and rub a little coconut oil on top of each one, or use a healthy oil spray. Because you will use less than 1 tsp of oil for this entire batch and will not eat the whole lit in one sitting it will not really count for the allowed 1 tsp of oil in an E meal.
  2. Sprinkle sea salt or seasonings of your choice. They will stick, thanks to the little bit of oil.
  3. Place tortillas straight onto oven rack and bake at 350 until crispy. This only takes a few minutes. Be careful. They brown quickly and they crisp even a little more after they have cooled.
  4. Break into chips or cracker size pieces and serve on the side of an E meal.

Note

Recipe Notes

Pearl says, "This is Serene's version. She doesn't like the idea of putting healthy sprouted tortillas in the microwave, but they can be made the same way as Joseph's Crackers/Chips."
