Ingredients
Instructions
-
Put 2 cups of raw Apple Cider Vinegar in your blender.
-
Add 1 cup of roughly chopped fresh hot red peppers.
-
Add the 4 tsp of high mineral sea salt.
-
Add 2 tsp. of onion powder or you can use a chunk of raw onion.
-
Add 1 tsp. of garlic powder or for the raw garlic lovers add 1 fresh clove.
-
Now start the blender. Let it run for a minute or so then add 1/2 tsp. of glucomannan while it is on the lowest speed.
-
Turn blender up to normal and blend until smooth.
-
Taste and do a Hot Saucy Mamma jig.
-
Transfer sauce to your favorite empty glass bottle and refrigerate.
Note
Milder Pepper Combinations & Recipe Suggestions:
- If you are baby stepping with your "hot sauciness" just use mostly red bell peppers with one red hot thai finger or red hot jalapeno. Use slightly more red hot tai pepper finger if you desire more heat. If you are an "extra hot saucy” type, add one whole habanero.
- The garlic powder gives this hot sauce a more muted, rounded garlic flavor rather than too pungent of a garlic taste if you use the fresh garlic.
- If you do not have access to “gluccie” or you are someone who has an aversion to it, you can easily and successfully use Xanthan gum instead. It is easily found at most grocery stores. (Walmart has little inexpensive packets of it in their gluten free section). While blender is running on low add 1/4 tsp of Xanthum at first and then blend and check for desired thickness. Too much Xanthum can get a bit slimy but the perfect amount makes a great texture so take it slow and steady when you first make it and learn your own perfect amount.
