Gingerbread Secret Big Boy~ Biggie Smoothie

Another new "Secret Big Boy" for you, caffeine-free and with all the warming spices of gingerbread! This recipe is found in the "Slimming Sips - Secret Shakes" section of the Trim Healthy Table Cookbook, page 480.

Instructions

  1. Brew the tea bag(s) in the boiled water for 5 minutes, then discard them. Add the tea to a blender along with all the other ingredients (except the ice cubes and whey protein) and blend until very smooth. You want all the okra completely broken down first, so blend like a maniac! Add the ice and blend well again. You may have to stop the blender and stir a couple times or add the ice slowly until it is broken down. Add the whey and blend for 10 to 20 seconds more. Taste and adjust the flavors if needed to “own it!”
  2. Make the optional topping. Squish up all the topping ingredients into crumbles and top the smoothie.
