Who doesn’t enjoy gravy over their mashed cauliflower, brown rice, or breakfast biscuits? This gravy is extra delicious when using stock or meat juice, but can just as easily be made using water. While this gravy is excellent as a Fuel Pull, it really rocks out when it’s made with some of the meat juices from a roasted, baked, or slow-cooked meat (then it’s an S). Or add 3 tablespoons heavy cream for a decadent creamy S gravy. This recipe is found on page 410 of the original Trim Healthy Mama book and page 483 of the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook. This is a multiple-serve recipe that makes about 3 cups of gravy.

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients except the Gluccie in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer while you shake the Gluccie in slowly from a shaker, whisking like mad.
  2. Stir for a few minutes while the gravy thickens a little more. Add a little Gluccie if needed, but don’t overdo it, as the gravy will continue to thicken slowly.
  3. Taste, adjust the seasonings, and “own it".
