Alfredo Chicken
Description
This recipe is part of our S Crockpot Chicken Ideas, which starts on page 314 & 315 of the Original Trim Healthy Mama book. This recipe can be made with chicken breasts or thighs and cooked in the crockpot with store bought or homemade alfredo sauce and is just delicious served over cabbage noodles, spaghetti squash noodles, zoodles or broccoli!
Ingredients
Instructions
- Along with chicken, add homemade or store-bought Alfredo sauce (you know the store-bought idea does not come from Serene). Make sure the store bought sauce has no more than two carbs.
- Homemade Alfredo can be easily made with mozzarella cheese, heavy cream, mushrooms, sea salt, black pepper, and a little garlic powder all thrown into the crockpot with the chicken.
- These ingredients join together slowly and perfectly in the crockpot.
- This recipe can be eaten over Dreamfields or konjac noodles, spaghetti squash, cabbage noodles, cauliflower rice, or poured over steamed broccoli or cauliflower.
Note
- Please keep in mind the size of your family when figuring out the amount of chicken to use for this recipe. If using chicken breasts, you can plan for 1 breast per person. If using skinless and boneless thighs you could plan on 2 thighs per person.
- Depending on how "saucy" you enjoy your dish 1-2 jars of homemade sauce should work.
