Description
This is a Trim Healthy Mama Community featured recipe submitted by Cindy Young. Cindy has been making her own yogurt cheese or Labneh Cheese at home for a while now and raves about how easy it is to do! It’s so easy that she has a new batch ready to go many days of the week. Ingredients
Instructions
-
Take 32 oz's of 0% Greek Yogurt and dump it into a cheesecloth lined colander or strainer that you have placed over a bowl that is deep enough so that the strainer is setting a few inches above the bottom of the bowl. This is so that when the whey drips out, it stays away from the colander.
-
Fold the cheesecloth over the 0% Greek Yogurt and place a large can over the top of the cheesecloth. (you can use a 30 oz canned good.)
-
Let it set on the counter for 24-30 hours.
-
Remove your Labneh from the cheesecloth and roll in parchment paper or plastic wrap.
-
Refrigerate.
-
This should last about 2 weeks in the fridge.

Helpful Tips from Cindy:
Cindy shares, "If you use 0% Greek Yogurt this is a Fuel Pull and you can use it in any meal type on the Trim Healthy Mama plan. You can form it into balls and let it set in olive oil and herbs to give it a flavor you enjoy."
Herb Suggestions and Serving Ideas:
- Slice up heirloom tomatoes, add Labneh Cheese on top with a drizzle of olive oil, sea salt and pepper. (S Version)
- Add a bit on top of your morning eggs.
- Place some on some on-plan crackers.
- Mediterranean spices would be lovely.
- Basil, oregano.
- Use it as a dip for celery, carrots, cucumbers, etc.
You can do many flavor combinations with your Labneh Cheese, plus save yourself some money in the process. Drive Thru Sue’s could try this at home too because it’s just that easy!
