RECIPE: Danny-ade

If you know and love Danny from the Trim Healthy Podcast, you may have heard him talk about his healthy version of Gatorade. Danny is not a water lover, actually he’s a bonified water hater, so he got into all sorts of health troubles by forgetting on purpose to drink his water! Headachy, bellyachy and feeling blah he knew he had to do something about it. Keeping this drink constantly at arms length keeps Danny hydrated and back to his chipper quirky self.

In Danny’s own words: “From the soulful tastes of Memphis where I grew up, comes a drink so punchy, you may need a mouth guard. This gut healing tonic is extra tart and bold enough to make even the thinnest lips do a pleasant pucker. The cherry and lime are the perfect pair, with just enough apple cider vinegar to make the fussiest bellies happy again. Hydration and healing are packed into this delicious mixer and the added salt will help keep you hydrated and your electrolytes all balanced up long after that final sip. I hope you enjoy this “better-than-water” water as much as I loved writing this description of my one-of-a-kind Danny-ade!”

Serving Size: Single-serve


– Juice of 1 Lemon or Lime
– 2 to 4 pinches Mineral salt
– 1/4 teaspoon THM Cherry Natural Burst extract
– 1 doonk THM Pure Stevia Extract Powder
– 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
– Approximately 16-ounces of Ice and Water


1. Stir together all ingredients and enjoy!
